Geoffrey Schweizer

Geoffrey Schweizer studierte in Heidelberg Psychologie und wurde 2011 in Potsdam mit einer sportpsychologischen Arbeit zum Thema Entscheidungen promoviert. Seither forscht und lehrt er am Institut für Sport und Sportwissenschaft der Universität Heidelberg. Er ist Fachstudienberater für den Bachelorstudiengang „Sportwissenschaft“ (50%, 33%) sowie Senatsbeauftragter für Qualitätsentwicklung in Studium und Lehre (SBQE). Geoffrey Schweizer war von 2012 bis 2018 Mitherausgeber bei In-Mind und ist seit 2023 Mitherausgeber beim Journal of Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology. Sein besonderes Forschungsinteresse gilt Urteils- und Entscheidungsprozessen im Sport. Darüber hinaus beschäftigt er sich mit forschungsmethodischen und wissenschaftstheoretischen Fragestellungen. Wenn er nicht gerade lehrt, forscht oder verwaltet, macht er den Kraftraum unsicher und nimmt sich vor, eines Tages ganz sicher wieder auf den Tennisplatz zurückzukehren.
